About us

The North Cork Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) – a Committee of Cork County Council – was confirmed as the LEADER Local Action Group (LAG) for North Cork and the programme officially commenced on the 1st December 2016. The new group – branded “LEADER North Cork” – managed the allocation of €5.1 million in LEADER funding across North Cork for the period 2016-2020.

The programme is being rolled out by the North Cork LAG and Avondhu-Blackwater Partnership CLG local development company operating in the North Cork Council division.

North Cork LEADER LAG plays a crucial role in fostering vibrant rural areas by supporting economic development, community cohesion, environmental sustainability, and tourism. By empowering local communities and encouraging sustainable practices, the LAG helps ensure that North Cork remains a dynamic and prosperous region.
